FT5 R2...changed the screw pulleys to 40T and steps from 400 to 800. Just read a post that if Z steps are 800, then print layer height is best set to a multiple of those steps, eg to 0.16 or 0.24, rather than 0.2.
So....if there are now 40T's on the screws, and if I put a 16T vs the current 20T on the stepper, that gives a steps/mm of an even 1000. Now, wouldn't that allow any full 0.1 multiple for layers to be best used, eg 0.1, 0.2, 0.3...?
The stock stepper was plenty strong for 1:1 (20T/20T), and less loaded at 2:1 (40T/20T), so should even be much less loaded with 2.5:1 (40T/16T). And layer resolution goes from original 400, to 800 and now 1000.
