I'll be mostly printing with NylonX/Epa-CF with PVA for support material, and occasionally PLA. So I'm thinking of starting with an FT-6 kit, and doing my own custom print head with a primary direct extruder, a second Bowden extruder for the support material, and a bed leveling probe. I also want to add a filament runout sensor for each extruder.
Does this approach sound reasonable?
Will the controller and power supply that come with the kit handle dual independently heated/sensed extruders plus the runout sensors and the bed leveling probe?
I would like to get the kit working in its 'stock' form and then start making my modifications. Given the direction I want to go in, would it make more sense to get the single direct driver version or the dual Bowden version?
Any recommendations on what extruders, runout sensors, and bed leveling probe to get?
Anything else I should consider upgrading?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
