Is it possible to attach a thermocouple to the MKS Gen1.4 Controller board instead of a thermistor ? A thermocouple produces a voltage whereas a thermistor is a resistor. Can an external thermocouple board like this be used ? https://nl.reprapworld.be/products/extruder/extruder_onderdelen/temperatuurbeheersing/external_thermocouple_board_v1_2/It has a AD597A temperature set point controller from Analog Devices.I have installed an E3D V6 extruder but would like to be able to print at high temperature (280-300 °C) with filament like polycarbonate.Any help would be very much appreciated.
Yes, that should work fine.
