Long story but I picked up a second hand folgertech Prusa I3 Acrylic model (with small LCD screen) a few days ago that had some of its electronics taken apart (but included in the sale), anyways I followed the manual I found on folgertech's website and rebuilt the printer. The X and Z movements are working however I can't get Y (the print bed) to move at all. When I tired to use Repetier to manually move it the screen on the printer itself says that Y end stop reached (however the Y end stop has not been reached) the bed will not move in or out. When I use the axis adjustment control on the printer itself it also does not move the bed at all when I tell it to move Y. I checked the step driver chips and the voltage is at 0.550v (which is what the setup guide instructed it to be). I have tried swapping out the Y motor with a new one no luck still no movement. Any ideas on where / what I should do next??
Thanks for the help I am kind of lost on what my next steps should be.. No idea if I missed something and thats what is causing this or if there is a fault somewhere. I was told by the person I bought it from that it was working when he took it apart and that he had taken it apart because when it was build it was mirrored so he was correcting that. I rebuilt if via the online instructions so I don't think I missed any steps.
Really excited to get started printing!
