Just curious what resolution/settings are the 3d printed parts are set to? I am going to print the 8mm z-axis upgrade parts shortly and noticed my original parts were pretty darn smooth... Also, what printer might these have been printed on? 2020 Prusa i3, bought over 2 yrs ago. still going strong!
I don't know what settings were used. That was also right around the time they switched from the 2020 i3 to the FT-5 for printing parts so I don't know that either.
Sorry, not much help here.
Thanks for the reply, Good to know it could have been the i3. I tried it at fine, 7.5 hours for the right side, supports everywhere, meh results... Lots of side boogers...
This web page has recently been launched mostly to help people set up and tune there printer.
in general for strong parts increase your perimeters to like 4 as well as 4 layers top and bottom. I generally print in the 10 -20 % infill range. if it looks to sparse in the preview up it a little . you want 15 -18 % overlap between infill and perimeters. I like honeycomb in slic3er for most things. There is no magic bullet for settings you need to figure out what is best for your printer. and yes your prusa should be fine.
