I'll try it with one motor when I get home on the board I have already made.
I'll have to make another board with the changes I showed in my last post.
Could you check my understanding of what you meant by parallel vs series wiring? The change was subtle, but I essentially moved the combined socket above the left and right steppers. This puts the left and right stepper in series with the combined socket and cable going to the MKS Gen 1.4 board. Or so I believe, could you verify that my logic is correct?
Right now, my FT-5 is functioning with the stock terminal blocks. I'm not sure what you mean by more current will be needed running in parallel. Isn't this how the stock FT-5 runs the Y steppers? I am just trying to emulate the stock terminal block function, and also remove the stock terminal blocks, with something that has standard connectors. So, the only variable is the board that I am introducing. and some of the additional wiring. I'll have to doublecheck everything again. Unless, I am missing your point about series vs parallel.
