I terminated all of my connections with either an appropriate spade, fork or ferrule.
Spade and fork connectors along with the appropriate crimp tools can be had in big box home improvement stores.
The ferrule connectors are a little harder to come by. I ended up purchasing this ferrule kit and the recommended crimper from Inventables,

It's not cheap, but I use it for other hobbies as well, so it paid for me.
The main reason for using these types of connectors is to eliminate stray wires in the hatch. It's fairly easy to have a single strand of the multi-conductor wire cause problems. Especially with the high strand count of the flexible silicone wire used.
Just my 2 cents.
