Hey everyone, I originally posted this in another thread because I saw mention of LCD scrambling, but @csorrows suggested I begin a new thread to properly follow this issue...

Anyway, the issues I'm having are as follows -
1) LCD screen info scrambled and undecipherable.
I find that sometimes the LCD screen display appears fine and clearly shows the info and display that it should show, then at other times the screen is totally scramble and unreadable. I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting the LCD ribbon cables at the LCD screen side, but this only serves to sometimes clear up the screen a bit (much of the info is still indecipherable after disconnect/reconnect, but it does make some of the display show more of what it should look like).
2) SD card reader not working properly -
Any time I attempt to use the SD card reader it either does not register an SD being installed, or if it does register the card, when I go to print from it, no SD card info shows (i.e. folders on the card, .gcode files, etc.) and I can only select the return to the last screen icon (little folder icon with an arrow pointing left and up IIRC). This has happened with 2 separate SD cards, one of which I know works since I use it in my delta without issue.
I will play around with the LCD cables and try shielding them with tin foil or moving them away from the Z motors (since according to @csorrows reply to my post in the other thread, it seems Z motor interference may be a cause of the scrambling.
Regarding the SD reader though, I am kind of at a loss on what to do to try to fix it since one of my SD cards works fine in my other printer, but does not in the FT-5. Does this sound like I should just buy another LCD screen or is there a way to determine if something is preventing the SD card from being read properly by the printer?
Any suggestions are appreciated and I will report back if I manage to fix either (or hopefully both) of these issues!
