With the FT5 series gone what 3D printer do I buy?

Good question. depennds on how big you realy need. the ender 5 has a 250 x250 print area.
tronxy x5sa pro has a 330 x330 print area.
IMHO tronxy is a bit hit and miss in the qc department.

You really can't go wrong with anything from Creality if you want something that's quick to setup and go.

If you are wanting to build one, Voron would be the way to go.

+++ on the Creality.
I built an Ender 4 for our son and could not believe how fast it went together.
It was about as "plug-and-play" as you can get in a "kit" printer.
But be aware that it is a closed ecosystem for the most part.
What you buy is what you get.
Modifying it is not nearly as easy as the Voron would be.
So if you are buying it just to use as-is, the Creality will work very well.
But if you are buying it as a basic printer platform to build upon, the Voron would be the way to go.

After researching all the appropriate printer specifications I chose and ordered a Voron 2.4.

Now it's just the waiting for China to release the lock down and start shipping again.....

I went with the 350 x 350.
It might be overkill but clearly large enough to last me a long time.

you should not outgrow that anytime soon .
just remember the law of scaling make something 3x the size it will take 27 times as long to print.
also looking forward to the build log.

There are more and more voron kits becoming available.
Download all the information and study it. Print the parts you need while waiting for the kit. When the kit arrives study the parts carefully.
The Chinese kit builders assemblers are famous for substituting parts that may or may not actually work. so be aware.
