I just wanna say I love my FT-5 R1 it's been a great machine!

It's been a long journey and I've done hundreds if not more than a thousand of hours of printing with this printer and it's been amazing, I use it frequently and one of my friends has two FT5-R2s he runs constantly for his business.

I've used it enough to already had shorts in the wire that came with it, it's all upgraded to silicone sheathed wires

For a while I depended upon it to help supplement my income when I wasn't working.

Mine is upgraded with a

• Custom spool holder for 3.3kg spools
• Custom Hemera mount/w cooling duct, and BLTouch adapter
• 10x15 drag chain
• Z Axis coupler from thingiverse
• Aluminum corner braces
• Y Axis Bearing upgrade from thingiverse
• E3D Hemera extruder /w BLTouch
• BigTreeTech SKR Pro Controller with TMC Drivers and auto poweroff & filament sensor
• TFT Color Touch screen
• Octopi/w Home assistant integration
• 110v Silicon heater pad/w SSR

Me too, and that is one of the greatest shames if FT is indeed defunct.
It is a really good printer, a great basic design, and a real work horse.
