I didn't have a fan for a very long time and had similar issues.
I compensated for it by lowering the temperature of the hot end slightly and increasing the print speed.
Those things each have their own associated problems of course.
I printed several versions of part fans from Thingiverse (search for "FT-5 fan") before finally designing my own from scratch.
This one was the best I found- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1833682
It works quite well with a stock hot end and extruder.
However after changing to a Titan/E3DV6 setup it became cumbersome to mount and position.
So I designed one that fits my particular setup perfectly.
It probably won't work for anyone else though, particularly if you have an FT5R2.
Oh, and you really need to print the cooler duct in ABS because of its proximity to the hot end. You might be able to get by with PLA for a while, but eventually it will probably sag from the heat.
