...with a big warning not to use them for assembly. Looks like I'll have to wing it. Left Folger Tech a message, but we'll see if they're responding this week. First impressions are that the kit generally looks good. There were a few component labels where the description on the packing list didn't match the description on the label, but the barcode numbers lined up. In one case, however, the bar code was covered up. The options (7" display and dual feed extruder) weren't tracked, and in the case of the extruder, even labeled. Just a blank bag with several nested blank bags.
I was disappointed to find that the dual extruder I thought I'd ordered was actually just a dual FEED extruder with a single tip. That was not what I was counting on, although now if you read the website, while it still calls it a dual extruder, it does at least say it's a single tip. I was mislead originally as I'd contacted Folger Tech last summer looking for a dual extruder option for an FT-5 and they told me to wait for Thanksgiving, where they released the FT-6 which I promptly ordered. However, given I wanted this for dissimilar materials (e.g. dissolvable support) a mixing extruder is not what I was looking for. There were plenty of other dual feed large form factor printers on the market. I want a true dual extruder,
UPS Ground beat their schedule (originally schedule for delivery tomorrow) and actually delivered it on the 24th. Guess they were trying their best to make everyone happy for Christmas. However, the box took one heck of a beating. Everything looks ok inside so far, but a better box is the one additional feedback I have for FT.
