Once you get it converted to 24 volt operation you should notice much better motor operation and also the 400 watt bed heater and "booster" board (or SSR) will make a world of difference.
I still prefer the mains-powered bed heater (and a 240 watt 24 volt PSU for everything else), but that's me.
I can appreciate that with 240 volt mains the prospect of that much voltage near a build plate could be a fearsome prospect.
BTW, the auto power-off circuitry I posted in another thread would still be a worthwhile upgrade.
I absolutely love having it and if I do build a junk box printer (as several forum members have either done or have considered doing), it will be a must-have feature for me.
