Is there anyone that has researched "recycling" of used filament spools?
I have found a lot of good and neat ideas and uses for things to use them for, BUT,...
There must be a bazillion used/empty spools headed for landfills.
Seems like a U. S. Company that manufactures filament would need lots of spools to put filament on. Right?
Seems like, blah, blah, blah, ditto, would have to pay too much $$$$ for brand spanking new spools. Right?
Seems like, there ought to be some one that could collect them, check them for "Quality", "Cleanliness", etc. then package and ship to manufacturers for a big savings, as well as employing people. So on and so forth.
Do Y'all know of such a place in the United States? I have found that there is a few in the U.K.
I just can't see sending them to a landfill, or to a place that grinds them up for scrap. Same thing for the nice boxes they come in.
Anybody got some news/data/info.?
