I have two mating parts in a seventeen hours print job. Six hours into the print, one of the parts comes loose. Scrap, among other things, Happens! I know what I would do on the five axis machining center that I used to operate. Piece-a-cake!
On my FT-5 R2, I can't simply press the rapid traverse button and zoom across the area where a big chunk of metal used to be. I'm fairly sure why it came loose and how to avoid it, when I make that one over.
What I would like some help on, is to finish the good part, without the machine trying to finish the scrap part.
If I must start over, then so be it. But, I would like to save the hours of the one good part, also to save over half of a spool of special filament.
I'm using the Reptier-Host V2.1 and the CuraEngine Slicer.
I'm thinking of picking the trash can on the Object Group for the bad part, but, that's what I'd do when I'm ready to scrap both parts and start with a new filament spool. UNLESS, of course, if somebody knows that or something else works.
