I recently moved from one house to another, with my FT-5 R2 in storage in the interim. I cautioned the movers that the device was very fragile. In storage, temperatures regularly plunged below freezing.
I finally got the printer into our new home and powered it up. When I did so, it beeped! The beep is about one second long and sounds like it's coming from the power supply. When I powered down, it beeped again! This printer has never, ever beeped at me before this.
Does this beeping mean that the printer/power supply is in distress? Or should it have beeped like this from the very beginning?
