I'm having trouble with ABL now. I have my probe installed and configured. It works perfect. However, my Z-offset doesn't work. I have calculated my offset at 3.8mm. If I make it a positive number, the hotend is much too far away. If I make it a negative number, the hotend is the same distance away. My z offset setting is literally doing nothing.
How can I troubleshoot this? I'm using the FT-5 firmware from the FolgerTech Google Drive.
EDIT: I found posts on GitHub about others having this issue a year ago and the solution was to update to a newer version of Marlin. I've changed a lot in my firmware and I don't remember it all, so I REALLY don't want to start from scratch. Has anyone else gotten ABL to work with the provided firmware?
EDIT 2: I'm able to get ABL working if I insert the offset into my starting GCODE in my slicer. This works just as well for me, so I'm going to go that route instead of doing things properly. I'm sad this didn't work, as I spent hours troubleshooting.
