I'll open by saying that the manual thus far is extremely good and very illustrative. Nice job.
Having said that, I have discovered an issue with the hot end assembly on pg 38, I believe.
The instructions have the builder using two (2) M3 - 40 bolts to secure the 40mm fan, heat sink, a 12mm spacer, and a 3mm flat washer through the heater support block and into the stepper motor.
Unless I'm a bloody idiot (hey, it's possible), the M3 - 40 bolts are too short.
The 12mm spacers cause the fan to sit outboard of the heat sink by 3mm and the ends of the bolts are flush with the hot end support block. No room for a washer, let alone engaging any threads into the stepper motor housing.
The spacers should be 9-9.5mm and the fan would sit on the heat sink as it should to prevent air blowing out onto the ABS being printed... and the M3 - 40 bolts would engage the stepper motor housing by six threads. Not reassuring...
I used two of my four m3 - 45 bolts and it fit perfectly. My opinion, there's an error. Hardware selection, manual, or me.
I am happily open to suggestions.
